grey rainy day, Rianne turned 23 today (actually tomorrow, but because of the time difference it was at 18.00 :))


Woke up with this, not sure whether I hit it or a really big mosquito got to me ;-)

BC (talked with Arthur on the phone :)) and did laundry

Almost fell asleep while listening to Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy audiobook :)

Had some stomach pain problems in de morning, went to BC when it was kind of over. Made some delicious wraps at home and tidied up a box of cables with Melissa.

After spending time at BC (where definitely something is going to happen, see photo)went home and agreed to meet Meghan at Spring and Bowery in Manhattan to see some bands in a bar over there. Met a lot of her friends (remembering names is always hard for me, so the last couple of weeks have been terrible...), watched and listened to one really bad band, one nice one with 2 brass instruments and Meghans favourite, a good solid rock band (Black Crowes/Gratefull Dead-like). Went to have a drink at the spring lounge bar, then took subway back to Brooklyn with Meghan.

Biked to Coney Island, continued on to brighton beach, crossed the Marine Parkway bridge, Jacob Riis Beach and back again to Coney Island and then home, to watch Law and Order marathon :)

Got on my bike again to go to a barbeque at a friend of Valerie. Had lots of fun playing sherades (which isn't easy when it's english sayings&books and you're Dutch :))
