Was supposed to meet Mam,Jaap&Gayleen in the city after they saw the body exhibition (and take them to show my home and coneyisland), but due to the subwaytrip from hell (after 2 hours I ended up at the subwaystop near my home...) i couldn't get there (and couldn't contact them either); ended up (after they called my cell from a payphone) agreeing we would meet again at their hotel that evening. Ate some mexican and went to see Grand Central Station (which is at least dry;-)), before having drinks downtown.

picked up Mam, Jaap&Gayleen at JFK, went to their hotel, had diner in the village and saw ground zero just in time for some major rain

hung around the city on my own

Had drinks (union square), diner (thai on st marks) and drinks (6th ave and 14th) with Betsy and Simon (my brooklyn college professors. We talked about anything from books and AI to break-ups and ways to get myself and my thesis going again. Afterwards hung around on Washington Square and ended up having a nice conversation with a girl from NYU. All in all a good day.
