Met with Meghan and her friend Patrick at the Cyclone, watched the mermaid parade and strolled over the boardwalk for a while. Took the subway to parkslope (didn't bike because of the rain) where meghan bought me diner after which we watched Syriana at Meghans place.

had a groupmeeting (outside on the lawn, because of the noise in the new lab)

Enjoyed a walk on and a view from Brooklyn Boulevard, and Brooklyn Bridge Parc (no I'm not sitting in front of a blue screen :P)

Watched the Netherlands-Argentina game after Jelle got a haircut from Armando, Jelle got some Pizza before taking him to Howard Beach to say goodbye after 2,5 weeks together.

first BC, then walking down Brooklyn boulevard with Meghan andJ Jelle before going to another very fun bbq :)

I enjoy the view of the bridge to staten Island at night and I look at Jelles pictures of DC when he returns.

Jelle leaves for DC at 10.30, I 'fluim' the rest of the day

Not a very active day untill the evening, when Jelle and I went to eat at a pizza place at 86th street Chris (a friend of Richard) had recommended to us. Later Richard and Melissa took us to the Boiler Room (a relaxed gaybar), Jaime and Armando also came there, we had some drinks (not too many this time ;-)) and played some pool. Jelle and I spent 20 minutes in another gaybar (with strippers on the bar), but that wasn't really the place he was looking for and didn't feel like paying $10 to enter another supposedly better bar for 30 minutes (okay, the fact it was called 'the cock' didn't appeal to me either ;-)), so after a slice of pizza we took the subway home.
